From chain smoker to chain knitter.

Check me out! I made it onto the Yarn Harlot's blog. See it live here. Anne and I traveled to Powell's Books to hear Stephanie Pearl-McPhee read from her latest book. I don't know about Anne, but I had a blast! It was so much fun. We arrived about an hour early and were lucky enough to nab the last two seats. There were about 300 people there and practically everyone was knitting! After waiting in line for another 45 minutes, I got to meet the Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, herself in person...

She was very gracious considering I was quite the spastic mess. You'd think I was meeting the pope! Here she politely endures the paparazzi while signing my copy of At Knit's End: Meditations for Women Who Knit Too Much. What a good sport! I'm holding my recently completed BFF socks knit in Koigu KPPPM (expensive but oh so worth it) in the left hand and in the right, a single Coloumbine Peak sock from "Socks Soar on Two Circulars" knit in Regia Silk. In the top photo I'm also holding Steph's traveling sock.
