Percolator. »

Recently  a friend of mine turned me on to an article in the NYTimes about cool, new (well, new to me) iPhone photo apps. One of the apps which I immediately downloaded is called Percolator which you see demonstrated here. You can vary the size of the “beans” and the “grind” to get a finer [...]

Overwhelmed. »

I’m feeling so overwhelmed by the start of school that I completely forgot to blog yesterday. Instead I attended the first football game of the season. I did manage to start a new project recently of which I’m giving you a sneak peak. The fiber is yummy Malabrigo which feels like cashmere. So wonderfully and [...]

The first week of school is in the bag and I’m a wreck! However, I’m feeling good about my new students and the new school year. So play the blues, clown. It’s all god. BTW: Great article on iPhone photo apps in the nytimes. Check it out. This stuff is bottomless. Thanks JW for the [...]

It seems like just yesterday when I was lugging this blanket around and knitting rows and rows and rows of garter stitch. But it’s been finished for over two years now. Today I adore it but I couldn’t believe it when I saw this little error the other day. OMG – I must have inadvertently [...]

Swatches from a super-duper top-secret project. »

Before: After: Before: After: Talk about unfinished, this particular project has been YEARS in the making. Either that or a really long hiatus. I’m so excited to finally bring it to completion and doubly excited to be felting again. For the record, the fiber is Patons Classic Wool Merino.
