Gift knitting.

Last Tuesday’s rainstorm and partial power outage provided a wonderful opportunity to start some gift knitting. I’m afraid there aren’t going to be too many handmade items this holiday season – I just don’t have as much free time as I used to – but here are two nascent projects.

The orange piece is the Dayflower Lace Scarf, one of which I started last year but ran out of yarn. I’m using Lion Brand Cotton/Bamboo given to me earlier this year which has been waiting patiently in the stash. It’s a lovely soft fiber with a good drape and the perfect blend for the warmish weather here.

This brown piece of circular knitting will grow up to be the Dayflower Cowl one day. Soon. Also Lion Brand Cotton/Bamboo. Also from stash.

I feel oh so productive.
