I’m still knitting but just barely

So much has happened lately that it’s been difficult finding the time to knit. I started my training at REI and Alice came to visit. A bit of bad timing but hey I’m just grateful to have a job with benefits again and also for the opportunity to see my lovely daughter who I hadn’t seen since June. You can tell by my limp blogging efforts – I started off the month strong but then petered out – that I’ve been pretty busy lately.

In an effort to feel somewhat productive, I’ve been in a push to finish at least one of the traveling knee socks, the pair of which were to be September’s pair and my ninth pair of the year. Alas, it is not to be and anyways what was I thinking when I decided to go for knee socks!?!? The colors puddle in odd ways as I increase and decrease for the calf giving the sock a distinct tie-dyed effect. Many thanks to purlwise for her instructions on fitted knee socks.

I have a sordid history with these socks, having ripped back and begun again more than a few times but I guarantee they will get done! Someday. Soon.
