August socks finished

There isn’t a whole lot to say about the Hedera socks. They’re a straightforward knit with a four row lace pattern but do pay attention or you are liable to make some mistakes – like I did! Oh well. I hate tinking lace so I ain’t gonna’.
(For a wildly different interpretation of this pattern, check out the original pattern photos at knitty.com.)
The Malabrigo sock yarn is lovely to work with and it’s fast becoming my favorite. The color here is “Rayon Vert” and it looks nothing like the picture swatch at the bottom of the page. These socks are thin enough to wear in shoes even here in California, the land of endless…relentless…sunshine! This may sound crazy but I’m actually craving a little rain.
I’m still on track to complete one pair of socks per month but I confess that I AM running out of steam. Maybe it’s the hot weather, or the size 0 needles, I’m not really sure. I’m going to devote September to finishing up my traveling knee socks. Ciao!
