I’ve got a Twisted Nutkin – again!

Twisted Nutkin

Taking great pains to avoid the natural tendency of this sock to twist, and not wanting a repeat of my last effort, I modified this pattern changing the top of the sock to a stretchy 2×2 rib instead of the fold over cuff that was called for. It seems that my best efforts have been foiled again. Drat! I’m going to continue nonetheless. This sock will not be ripped back again! I’m sure I’ll find someone who will enjoy a nice pair of handknit socks.

In other news, Alice told me that I looked too skinny (like a “skeleton” she said!) in the photo at Smith Rocks (see previous post). She also mentioned that my blog has become boring. I think she’s right. It’s been very spring like around here lately and much too warm to knit. I actually saw folks kissing in public recenty. Young lovers. Imagine that!

Spring has sprung in the PNW and I must get out and enjoy it because it won’t last long!

  1. It’s not a mistake. It’s a pattern modification that you carefully planned and executed. :)
