A cure for my lace craving
Posted on Jan 30, 2009 in knit, knitting, lace knitting

I have been searching for months for the perfect lacey/leafy project just because. Just because I love lacey/leafy knitted things. I recently stumbled upon the Liesel Scarf pattern designed by Mary Joy Gumayagay first on Ravelry and then her fascinating blog called Yummy Yarn. Rock climbing in Europe while knitting and creating patterns? Sounds like a wonderful life. Sign me up!
The Liesel Scarf is coming along swimmingly so far although the pattern is not charted. Charted is def my preference but I seem to be doing fine with the instructions as written (although the font size is miniscule!). I also used yarn from my stash – Louet’s Gems in the sport weight – continuing my thrifty/frugal theme. I assure you that the color choice was purely coincidental.
Even unblocked you can see a pattern beginning to emerge.

That looks wonderful. I even like the orange color.
