I must have a learning disorder; my nephew was a preemie baby and this post is the first time I have never thought about making a teeny hat. I made a blanket for him, instead. I feel like an idiot now. You're right, this is a great stash buster and knits up fast. I am absolutely going to start knitting these. I force my 13 yr old daughter to knit while she watches tv, so she doesn't just sit there for hours aimlessly...I've been looking for a service project for her and this is the best of both worlds. Thank you! (great blog btw, love it)

Thank you for doing knitting preemie hats. I'm the mother of two preemies, and I can't tell you how special it was for me when my babies had hats that fit them in the NICU. We have a few hand knit blankets and hats that are now in keepsake boxes. It still takes my breath away to pull them out and see just how tiny my babies were. Good work!!!
